Art in Action
Art‑in‑Action is a school‑wide parent‑run Art program that introduces students to art history and provides students the opportunity to create their own art pieces. In each lesson, the children learn about a different work by a great artist, and then create their own artwork based on the concepts and techniques they have discussed. Throughout the year, the children are exposed to a variety of artists, techniques, and materials. Trained parent docents teach the monthly lessons. Our parent volunteers and students also put on a one-of-a-kind art show during Open House which is open to families and the community. Art‑in‑Action is always looking for volunteers to ensure the program continues for our students.
